Class Schedule:
The course will be of sixteen weeks duration, 576 clock hours. Hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch, Monday-Thursday, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday. The eight-hour day will consist of one hour of Lecture and seven hours of Lab.

Enrollment Limitations:
Classes are limited to eight students. Due to the intensive course of study, part-time students cannot be accepted.

Enrollment Dates:
Enrollment will be accepted at any time prior to the first day of class. However, enrollments submitted after December 15th (for the January class) and July 15th (for the August class) will be charged an additional $50.00 late fee.

Graduation Requirement:
A certificate will be awarded to each student who completes the course requirements with at least 70% average, has satisfactory attendance and has paid tuition and fees in full.

Tuition:
Tuition for the 16 week course is $7500.00. This includes your text book, lab supplies, housing, and supplies to make a shoeing box. Three hundred seventy five dollars ($375.00) is to be submitted with your application form. This will hold your place in the class you select. The deposit is applied to the total cost of your tuition. The balance of $7125.00 is due the first day of class.

Hand tools are not included in the tuition.

Financial Assistance:
Wolverine Farrier School is currently approved by the Department of Labor and Economic Growth for the training of VA eligible students. We are also approved for training the Michigan Department of Career Development-Rehabilitation Services eligible students. If you qualify for these programs, you must contact the agency in your area to begin the necessary paperwork. If you do not qualify for the above named programs and you need financial assistance, we recommend that you contact your local bank for a personal loan. Please allow ample time for the loan to be approved and processed before the class begins.

Winter 2012 term: January 9, 2012 to April 27, 2012.

Fall 2012 term: July 9, 2012 to October 26, 2012. (There will be no school on Labor Day. Time will be made up.) Note: The fall class may not take place if 4 or more students are registered by June 25, 2012.
